Tulukoota Kuwait Family Picnic was successfully held at Jabriya Garden on Friday, 24th April 2009.

TULU KOOTA FAMILY PICNIC-2009

April 24: Tulu Koota Kuwait has organized a Family get together at Jabriya Garden on 24th April 2009. After a long dusty & Rainy days, the sky was clear and the weather on Friday morning was so inviting and fabulous that the Picnic was well attended with over 1000 members’ family and friends.

The days activities began at 9 AM with flag hoisting ceremony by the president A.K. Ravindra followed by attractive march past of Tulu Koota members.

Releasing the pigeons, president declared the PICNIC opened.

The tiny tots perfectly enjoyed their events- matching the color, sun-moon-star game, breaking the pot, kangaroo race & mat race.

Teenagers & youths actively participated in high jump, long jump, tyre race and kere-dhada game.

Record number of entries were in men’s events- tyre race and sweet-hot games. Crossing the river on a slippery pipe (Paampu dantunu) a special attraction introduced this year was adventurous as well as humorous.

Ladies also enjoyed perfect attention and applause participating in Pot-(kodapana)- water race, straw game, breaking the pot by reverse direction.

Pick and hang and TKK Picnic special (Palai padunu), games were organized for couples.

Team games Kabbadi, Volley-ball, and Throw-ball had great teams and overwhelming and enthralling audience. Tug of war for men and women, left the audience energized, as they continued applauding and supporting the participating teams.

Tarai Katta, one of the favorite sports of Tulu Koota picnic was played throughout the event. Treasure hunt game was also played by all age groups.

Tharendra Shettigar, Angnello and Suresh Rao ably compared the whole day event.

Typical Mangalorean delicious vegetarian & non-vegetarian lunch was served by Oriental Restaurant.

Prizes for winners and raffle draw were awarded later in the evening.

Vote of thanks by Gen. Secretary Sathyanarayana at 5 PM, marked the end of events.

The day long event was well organized by Sports Secretary Ramesh Kidiyoor.
